Replacement Vehicles

A car like your own, while yours is repaired

A replacement vehicle isn’t a luxury after an accident — it’s how you get to work, do the school run, visit family and keep your appointments. Rather than reorganising your life around a repair booking, you carry on as normal.

If the accident wasn’t your fault, you are entitled to a like-for-like replacement: a vehicle of a similar size, class and specification to your own. We arrange it, deliver it to you, and recover the cost from the at-fault driver’s insurer — so there is nothing for you to pay and no deposit to find.

  • Like-for-like matching — hatchback, estate, 4x4, van or prestige
  • Delivered and collected — to your home, work or the repairer
  • Fully insured — comprehensive cover arranged with the hire
  • No credit card deposit — nothing held against your account
  • Kept until you’re mobile again — through the repair, or until a write-off is settled

Why Choose Us

Why choose our hire car service?

Practical, flexible cover for the weeks when your own vehicle simply isn’t available.

Comfortable vehicles

Clean, modern, well-maintained cars — not the tired runaround people expect from a courtesy vehicle.

Flexible hire periods

Keep the vehicle for as long as your car is off the road. No arbitrary cut-off at seven or fourteen days.

Simple booking

Tell us what you drive and where you are. We confirm the details and set the hire up — no queueing at a rental desk.

Reliable service

If anything goes wrong with the hire vehicle, one call to your advisor gets it swapped or repaired.

Suitable for different needs

Automatics, larger family cars, vans for trade use and vehicles with the towbars or seats you depend on.

No cost if non-fault

The hire charges are recovered from the at-fault insurer. You pay nothing and your own policy is untouched.

Questions drivers ask about replacement vehicles

On a non-fault claim, yes. The hire charges are recovered from the at-fault driver’s insurer, so there is no deposit, no excess and no invoice to you. We explain exactly how this works before the vehicle is delivered.

One comparable to your own in size and class. If you drive a family estate you won’t be handed a city car, and if you rely on an automatic or a van for work we’ll match that too. Tell us what you need when you call.

Until your own vehicle is repaired and returned to you. If your car is written off, the hire normally continues until the settlement for your vehicle is paid, so you have time to buy a replacement.

Yes. We arrange hire vehicles for at-fault drivers as well — the difference is the cost can’t be recovered from a third party, so we give you a clear quote for the hire period before anything is booked.

You, as the named hirer, plus any additional drivers we add to the agreement. Let us know at the time of booking who else needs to drive and we’ll include them, subject to the usual licence and age checks.

Not necessarily. Most of our hires follow an accident, but we can also arrange a vehicle while yours is in for extended repairs, or for a planned trip when you need something larger or more suitable than your own car.
